Save the Date! Magical Mount Vernon is back with a new look!

Join us on Saturday, Dec. 6 from 2–7 PM for Magical Mount Vernon, presented by the Mount Vernon-Lisbon Community Development Group. This year’s event moves from Thursday night to Saturday for a more relaxed, family-friendly experience — and we’ve extended the fun to five hours!

Enjoy community favorites like visits with Santa at Mount Vernon Bank, Animatronics at the Presbyterian Church, and the Living Nativity at Memorial Park. While trolley rides won’t be available this year, streets will remain open to encourage shopping and dining throughout historic Mount Vernon.

The DZ Combo, a jazz quartet from Dubuque, will play live. We heard the quartet at our jazz jam last spring and were blown away. They feature original jazz music written by pianist and composer, Danny Zanger.

Bring your instrument or come listen at our bluegrass jam. Owner and bluegrass veteran Mike Bray will host - whether you’re a beginner or experienced musician, we’d love to you at the jam.

The Lincoln Highway Arts Festival has been a staple in Mount Vernon for over 15 years. Artists have a little something for everyone at every price point, from up and coming artists to highly collectable museum quality pieces.

Embrace your creativity and paint a record! $1 covers the cost of supplies and painting will be going on from 1 - 3 pm.
